Kahana valley is reached on the scenic drive up from the east side to the north shore. I included Chinaman's Hat because it is located nearby. Apparently Chinaman's Hat has great snorkeling, I haven't been out to it yet but it's on my list.

Kahana valley is a swampy area where a few scenes from the original Jurassic park were filmed. There is a long hike through the valley. It's different from other hikes on the island because there are no pretty mountain views, however a waterhole with a rope swing can be reached at the end. It's a very long hike and requires the whole day, as well as bug spray!!!
