It’s amazing how much busier Kailua Town has become since I was younger. Due to the numerous features on top beaches lists, Kailua has had a huge influx of tourists, making It a premier tourist destination stop. We mostly cater to Japanese tourists, but meet people from all over the world!

 

On of my favorite places in Kailua Town is my workplace, Island Treasures Art Gallery. As a locally owned business, it caters to local artists from all over Hawaii, and I love seeing the Hawaiian influence in modern art. I have had the opportunity to meet famous artists such as Heather Brown and Lynne Boyer- the famous surfer. One of my good friends Leanna Wolff is a featured artist in the gallery, I babysit her two twin girls (who I consider my own babies) as much as she lets me. She has become an overnight huge success, and commissions her famous wave art all around the world!

 

Recently, we’ve had a designer shave ice stand open across from the Whole Foods Market. I was skeptical at first, but all the juice is hand squeezed and freshly grown on farms! They have the most interesting flavors, and they change seasonally. I can be spotted here at least three times a week.
